Overview

Caroline Castille-Sierra is an American entrepreneur and the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of FlightPath Golf, a premium golf accessories brand based in Orlando, Florida, that has generated $11.8 million in lifetime sales since its 2020 founding.[1] She and her husband and co-founder Michael Sierra appeared on Season 17 of ABC's Shark Tank, where they pitched the company but left without a deal.[1]

Before FlightPath, Sierra built a career spanning angel investing, e-commerce consulting, and consumer products. She rose from intern to partner at Florida Angel Nexus, founded the e-commerce agency Clickable Impact, and launched the dancewear brand bSteps Dancewear — all rooted in Orlando's University of Central Florida entrepreneurial ecosystem, where she earned dual degrees in 2014.[7][10]

Early life and education

Castille-Sierra attended the University of Central Florida from 2010 to 2014 on a Florida Bright Futures Scholarship, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Finance and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature from the College of Business.[7][4] During her time at UCF, she competed in color guard with Orlando Visual, placing second at the Winter Guard International World Championships in Open Class in 2011.[4] She has cited her mother as her earliest entrepreneurial influence, crediting her as the person who first modeled business ownership.[10]

Career

bSteps Dancewear (2014–2024)

Shortly after graduating from UCF in 2014, Castille-Sierra founded bSteps Dancewear, a footwear brand for dancers inspired by her own background in competitive color guard and dance.[10] The rapid growth of the brand's Instagram following gave her an early insight into the power of digital marketing — an observation she later described as the catalyst for founding her e-commerce agency.[10] bSteps operated for approximately a decade before shutting down in 2024.[10]

Florida Angel Nexus (2014–2018)

Concurrently with bSteps, Sierra joined Florida Angel Nexus — a UCF-originated angel investor network also known as Florida Funders — as an intern in 2014.[7] She rose through the organization to become a partner and managing director, helping raise approximately $20 million in capital for 69 technology companies before departing around 2018.[7][10] The role gave her direct exposure to startup investing, deal evaluation, and the mechanics of early-stage fundraising — experience she would later draw on when building her own ventures.

Clickable Impact (2017–present)

In 2017, Sierra founded Clickable Impact, a digital marketing and e-commerce agency based in Orlando.[10] The idea grew from her experience scaling bSteps Dancewear's online presence; she recognized that the social media and e-commerce tactics she had developed could be applied to other consumer brands.[10] According to a profile in The Retail Exec, the agency scaled dozens of e-commerce stores past $1 million in revenue within its first eleven months of operation.[10] At the time of her 2020 induction into the UCF College of Business Hall of Fame, Sierra was listed as Managing Director of Clickable Impact.[7] The agency also served as a testing ground for new product ideas — Sierra and her husband were actively spending over $50,000 evaluating potential consumer products through the agency when the opportunity that became FlightPath Golf arrived.[10]

Email on Performance (2023–present)

Sierra and Michael Sierra co-own Email on Performance, an email marketing services business. The venture was first publicly referenced during a December 2023 appearance on the Business SOS! podcast, where the couple discussed the values underlying their business partnership.[7] The exact founding date is unclear; the business may represent a formalization of email marketing capabilities developed within Clickable Impact.[7]

FlightPath Golf (2020–present)

FlightPath Golf originated when a UCF PhD student brought a prototype directional golf tee — invented by scientist Daniel Whalen — into Sierra's Clickable Impact office.[10][7] She and Michael Sierra, who had encountered Whalen through UCF's Blackstone LaunchPad, acquired the product rights and launched the company in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, betting on a direct-to-consumer e-commerce model at a time when golf participation was surging.[7] The company's flagship product is a patented polycarbonate golf tee with a curved, winged head and an embedded directional aiming arrow, approved for tournament play under USGA rules.[4]

FlightPath grew rapidly, reporting 41% revenue growth during the period recognized by GrowFL and generating $4.3 million in revenue in 2024, with $11.8 million in cumulative lifetime sales over four years.[7][1] The company expanded into retail distribution through Amazon, Walmart, and PGA Tour Superstore.[7][4] An early test of the company's operations came during a holiday season when 12,000 orders arrived in under a month; the Sierras flew to Michigan and hired and trained 40 temporary workers within three days to fulfill the orders.[7]

In January 2026, Sierra and Michael Sierra appeared on Season 17, Episode 8 of ABC's Shark Tank, seeking $300,000 for 10% equity at a $3 million valuation.[1][4] The sharks raised concerns about the company's $800,000 in outstanding seller-financing debt and its thin net profit of $46,000 on $4.3 million in revenue.[1][10][11] The founders left without a deal.[1] Post-appearance, the company reported increased brand exposure and web traffic.[11]
